Pre-Ground Flour I Use
Occasionally, I need flour but don’t have time to pull out my grinder. My friend Ciara recommended this wonderful Heritage Bread Flour through Sunrise Flour Mill. (Thanks!!) It is a great alternative. I have a gluten intolerance, which is what brought me to grinding my flour. I have found that I can eat bread made with this flour without any trouble at all. It is more digestible than modern hybridized wheat. They even sell heritage wheat berries that I can grind. The bread flour is great for sourdough, too. From their website:
At Sunrise Flour Mill there are no added chemicals, and we never bleach or bromate. Our wheat is grown in nutrient-rich, chemical-free soil on a fourth-generation organic family farm. We control every part of our wheat’s journey; from planting the seed to delivering your farm fresh flour. Sunrise Flour Mill is farmer-owned and operated, expertly cultivating organic easy-to-digest heritage wheat in ways that are sustainable to our lands for generations to come.
